Pledge manager survey closes at 9:00pm PT today
Hey folks, this is the last reminder to complete the pledge manager survey as it will close tonight. Please complete the survey to ensure we can fulfill your pledge on time, and as order quantities will be locked after the survey closes! Here is another quick update on what will happen next:

Once the survey closes (Aug 22): Backers will no longer be able to add or remove items to their order, because we will need to confirm the print numbers with our manufacturer. You will still be able to access your survey to update your shipping address if needed.
- ~2 weeks from shipping (ETA late Sept): BackerKit payment processing will occur to pay for shipping and taxes. This will give time for payment to be completed so we can proceed with arranging shipping for your rewards.

Once shipping is ready to begin (ETA Nov): Surveys will be fully locked, so backers will no longer be able to update the address. This is necessary as we will be confirming shipping addresses with our fulfillment partner.
Once the survey closes, we will be finalizing the order quantity and confirming the final print specs with our manufacturer. Once we are thoroughly happy with the quality, we will start production!

IMPORTANT: Please make sure to complete the pledge manager survey and confirm your order before August 22. We can only fulfill your pledge rewards if you confirm your order details, shipping address, and payment details in the survey. If you have difficulties with accessing your survey, contact us immediately and we can help out. We cannot fulfill your rewards if you do not complete the survey entirely. Next steps + faster fulfillment
What happens next? Once the survey closes on August 22, we will finalize the order numbers with our manufacturer. Once we are ready to begin production, we will process the final BackerKit payments. The best news is that we currently forecast production to complete sooner! We expect to start final stages of fulfillment and shipping within 6 weeks after payment processing - meaning backers may start receiving rewards as soon as November 2023!
Proposed component adjustment
Important update - we are proposing to upgrade the card components from white core to blue core. The reason is that we've tested our manufacturer sample cards and saw that the blue core gives the card a better strength and flexibility for extended use. We want to make sure our game is durable. Please note that our manufacturer strongly recommends using the blue core with 300GSM for the best quality feeling, and our own testing with the samples agree with that. The thickness of the card was not noticeably different between 300 and 350GSM, as you can see from the pictures below, but the increased flexibility of the blue core is clear. We believe we are making this decision to provide a better game for all of us!
Sneak peek of the manufacturer sample
We are so excited to receive the latest manufacturer sample of Solar Titans, and we're happy to share some sneak peeks below (fluffy fox for size comparison... and because my daughter insisted). We will carefully QA all of the contents so that we can finalize the specs for our production run... and of course to have a much needed play test session with the production quality cards! :) We may make some final tweaks, so this is not the final version - but very close!

If you have not received your survey email by now, please take the following steps immediately:
The survey due date is 22 August. Getting all the surveys completed on time (or early) will ensure we can move quickly into production, and get the pledge rewards shipped and delivered to you sooner. If you've already completed the survey, you are all set!
If your shipping address changes, you can update it via the same survey invitation link at any time before we ship. Don't hesitate to contact us for any other questions.

Pledge manager survey launched!
We are very excited to announce that the Solar Titans pledge manager survey has just launched! Please check your inbox and spam folder, and you should receive the survey within 24 hours as we are doing a staggered release. Don't worry if you don't get the survey right away!
We have streamlined the process so that you only need to complete the survey once. It will take you through the steps to confirm your pledge rewards, select any add-ons for additional copies of Solar Titans or the Art Book, and provide your shipping address. It will also calculate the exact shipping cost and any applicable taxes that will be charged once we begin production.
Please complete the survey as soon as possible. The survey deadline is 22 August 2023, and having prompt responses will ensure we can include your order in our production run. Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions in the meantime.
On shipping: Please know we have tried our best to negotiate on getting the shipping price lower, despite global shipping prices remaining high. We have committed to staying in our estimated ranges so there should be no surprises. Whatever price you see, know that we have already absorbed some of the cost.
Update on our manufacturer sample
For those who are interested in the behind-the scenes: We recently received our dummy sample from our manufacturer, and it was helpful to make sure we're delivering a quality game. We learnt a few things and made a couple key decisions:
- We had two options for the insert, and we decided to pick the more durable version even though it is a little heavier and more costly for us, because we want the insert to last.
- We sleeved 210 cards and tested it with the insert, and confirmed that the sleeved cards fit well. However, we'll increase the depth of the insert so that the sleeved cards are less likely to "overflow" the box.

Hi folks! Just want to share a quick update that we're on track with our production timelines. We have completed the step of finalizing the manufacturer specs, especially taking into account the component upgrades from our stretch goals. We are also reviewing the dummy sample to make sure it can accommodate sleeved cards and fit everything well. We're so excited to see the game get one step closer to coming to life, and we look forward to playing it!
Next, we are working with the shipping fulfillment provider to confirm the shipping costs for each country we'll be shipping to, including pricing for larger orders. Once we have confirmed this information, we will be able to send out the BackerKit pledge manager surveys, where you will be able to enter your shipping details and finalize your order. We'll share another update once the surveys are being sent out!
