Production complete - Solar Titans in transit!

Hi backers! We just wanted to share a quick update - we've completed production for Solar Titans and it is now in transit to our fulfillment center. Once it gets there over the next few days, they will start shipping out the game to you. We'll share one more update with more information (e.g., tracking details) once shipping begins, so stay tuned!

Shipping address locks Sept 30 as shipping starts soon

Dear backers,

Hope your week has been going well, and thank you for everyone who has gotten in touch with us via comments or direct messages! If you have any final changes to your shipping address, you can make changes on BackerKit until September 30. After that date, we will lock the addresses down so we can prepare the final shipping details with our fulfillment partner, and we won't be able to make any further changes.

If you are one of the last few people whose payment has failed on BackerKit, please check your credit card details or contact your bank ASAP. Your shipping will be delayed until final payment has been processed successfully.

We're very pleased with our timelines - the updated roadmap below shows how we track against our original projections, and we've been mostly on time and ahead of schedule. We are currently trying to work around the Chinese National Holidays (Sept 29 to Oct 5), and we will be back to full speed once the fulfillment partner is fully back online.

We also received a final production copy today and we feel it satisfies everything we wanted to achieve. More importantly, we have managed to minimize the use of plastic in our packaging - with only the shrink wrap for the box to protect it. We won't share any more sneak peeks for now, because we don't want to spoil your experience of opening your very own Solar Titans! :)

BackerKit charge in 24 hours as we are shipping soon!

We got some exciting news! Our production is going smoothly as we've kept closely involved in the process. We just heard from the manufacturer that they expect to complete production by the end of this month, and we're aiming to start shipping out to our backers by October 8.

In the next 24 hours, we will process final pending charges for shipping and taxes on BackerKit. All backers who have completed their BackerKit survey do not need to do anything. 

But if you are one of the last few backers who haven't completed the survey fully, this is your last chance to update it to ensure your rewards are not delayed! Otherwise, we will keep your pledge rewards for 1 year before treating your pledge as a donation.

Production has started!

Production has started on Solar Titans!

We have the green light for the manufacturer to start production! We took extra time to thoroughly review the components and make sure we've got a really high quality board game for all our backers. As mentioned in an earlier update, we are upgrading all the cards to a 300GSM premium blue core to ensure better durability. The manufacturer also helped us improve the insert design, and we decided on the final packaging/wrapping. We're so happy with the outcome, and hope you will love it too!

Production is estimated to take 6-8 weeks. When we are about 2 weeks from completing production and starting fulfillment, we will process the final costs on BackerKit, and then shipping will start shortly afterwards! Backers should expect to start receiving their rewards from November onwards depending on their location around the world.

Sneak peek of the updated solo mode

While you're waiting for Solar Titans to be produced, here's a new sneak peek of the solo mode with our latest manufacturer sample.

In this scenario, the Automata is a higher difficulty ship with a unique bonus that reinforces its Command Deck, making it more difficult to take down. It is the top ship in the image below. The Automata also drew a random mechanic that allows it to gradually strip away the Hauling and Mercenary Crew from the market if you do not disable its weapons. Our Nebula II capital ship arrives to make a last stand (bottom ship). Initially we feel quite confident that we've got a good chance to take down this automata ship.

However, the Automata is a truly challenging experience. By mid game, we managed to knock out one of its sections to reduce its offensive strength. But we used up our supply of precious Field Repairs and our ship was still highly vulnerable to missile attacks. The image below shows an important dilemma: It is our turn, and we have the chance to launch a Boarding Pod and fire one of our ship weapons - but where should we target to make it count during this critical moment in the game? The ability to make important combat decisions is one part we love most about Solar Titans.
