Happy weekend folks (and Happy Fathers Day for those in the US)! We hope you've having a wonderful time with friends or family, and perhaps playing some board games. Can you imagine we now have over 400 backers?! So onto some great news for today:
Stretch Goal 3: 350GSM unlocked!
The card stock will be upgraded to 350GSM for all copies of Solar Titans! When you open up Solar Titans, you will feel the distinctly high quality, higher density cards in your game that was made possible thanks to your support. It might just hold up for a trip to space! ;)
The next locked-in stretch goal #4 is UV Coating on the cards, which will add protection from dirt, scratches, and moisture. We want your game to last the test of time.
Stretch Goal 5: Vote now in this update!
We read every single one of your ideas, and we truly appreciate your input and share your enthusiasm! We had the difficult task of shortlisting two options for this stretch goal.
You decide the unlock by voting in the comments on this update:
- Option 1: Box Spot UV
- Option 2: More AI cards
The most popular option will be picked when stretch goal #4 is reached. The Box Spot UV will make your game box stand out more on the shelf. More AI cards will increase replayability for solo / co-op mode by adding 2-3 unique Automata cards!
We loved several other ideas - especially the idea of unique captains or a carrier module to launch smaller ships. Imagine deploying smaller frigates or corvettes flying alongside your capital ship. However, we want to implement any major new features with a high bar for quality, which can require months of play testing for balance and the fun factor. We don't want to rush implementing new features for a stretch goal, and leave players with a less than great experience.
Day 4: Linen Finish unlocked, mixing it up for next stretch goal!

Stretch Goal 2: Linen Finish unlocked!
Linen Finish will be applied to all cards in all copies of Solar Titans! We're just as excited as you, because we get to see our indie game start to transform into a premium experience. It's all thanks to your support!
Stretch Goal 3: 350GSM wins
Good news for the folks who wanted the 350GSM card stock - it's now locked in for stretch goal #3 by winning the vote 21 to 14. We've also proposed to lock in UV Coating for stretch goal #4 so folks don't miss out. Let's build a great spaceship!
Stretch Goal 5: We want your ideas!
We'd like to mix it up for Stretch Goal #5: Nothing is perfect and everyone has wishes. We want to hear your voice. Tell us what you want to see in Solar Titans.
Post in comments below with your ideas; we'll review and pick from the top ideas to go into the fifth stretch goal. But please keep in mind - I'm a mother of two young kids, so nothing too crazy or chaotic. :) We still want to get the game to you quickly and with reasonable shipping:
- No production of plastic/wood/metal components like minifigures, meeples, statues
- No large/bulky items

Stretch Goal 1: Custom Insert unlocked
Custom inserts will be included for all copies of Solar Titans - hooray!! Now your cards will fit snugly during interstellar travel. We'll work with our manufacturer to design it and will make sure the shields will fit (aka sleeves) ;)
Stretch Goal 2: Linen Finish wins
Thanks for voting for the second stretch goal - it was a close call, but Linen Finish wins the vote 14-11 and will be unlocked if we hit the next stretch goal. For folks who wanted 350GSM, you'll have a chance to fight back: It is now part of the vote for Stretch Goal 3...!

Our dream is to create this game and get it into your hands - to create fun and immersive experiences for our fellow players - and you've made it possible. Our philosophy is to provide the same, high quality edition of Solar Titans for all our backers at all pledge tiers. No FOMO and no deluxe edition pricing. If we secure more funds during our campaign, we'd like to invest it into creating an even more premium quality game for ALL of you. We bring everyone together - the stretch goals apply to ALL copies of Solar Titans - so let's make this happen!
We are already almost at the first stretch goal to include a custom insert. Once we hit this, we'll reveal the second stretch goal! But it gets better:
